Tasha Vanasse Photography!
News beyond news, we have booked our photographer and I could not be more excited if I tried!! Go here to her website to check out her incredible, amazing, work. She’s a very good friend of mine (one of my bffs, bridesmaids, love-of-my-lifers). We used to be film partners and then she went all professional photographer on me and now I have to fend for myself. ;]
But seriously, she’s incredible, and you should all check out her website… and hire her.
Quick Update
Wedding plans have been moving slowly lately, however, we have the venue and THE DRESS, and have also probably picked out the invitations. Right now I am etsy obsessed and have been saving all sorts of photos as inspiration. Prepare yourselves.
Also, I have a grown up job now (ie. 40 hours a week in an office), which is one of the main reasons I have been slow to update lately.

venue woes
this is crazy wedding week. we visited three possible venue sites today. one we will have to make an appointment and revisit—the other two are definitely crossed off the list, although the fact that they are both in my price range is amazing. both of them were in parks: one was basically a tent in a parking lot, and the other was a building from the 1800s, which would be nice if its courtyard wasn’t comprised of a lot of dirt and oddly placed flower boxes.
everything here is obscenely expensive. balboa park is so far off the list it’s not even funny. we’re going to visit a bridge club in la jolla even though i am sure it will be outside of our price range. there are two or three other potentials we will visit this week. and tomorrow, since we couldn’t get an appointment at the temecula location, we are going dress shopping. because we can. and i am very, very excited. =]]
but man, God be with us and this budget trying to have a nice wedding in San Diego. we must be crazy…
